Superconductivity near the Normal State in A Half-Plane under the Action of A Perpendicular Electric Current and an Induced Magnetic Field, Part II: The Large Conductivity Limit
نویسندگان
چکیده
We consider the linearized Ginzburg-Landau equation in the half-plane, in the presence of an electric current, perpendicular to the boundary, and the magnetic field it induces. In a previous work we have considered the same problem in the limit of small normal conductivity. In the present contribution we consider the large normal conductivity limit, which is more frequently encountered in experiments than the other limit. Like in the previous work we obtain an approximation of the critical current where the normal state looses its stability. We find that this critical current is determined by the ground state of the anharmonic oscillator.

Study of leaky dielectric droplet behavior under an electric field: effect of viscosity and electric conductivity ratios
In this research, hydrodynamic behavior of a leaky dielectric droplet under an electric field is simulated. The level set method is used for interface tracking and the ghost fluid method is used for modeling discontinuous quantities at interface. Using Taylor’s leaky dielectric model, electric field and electric force at the interface is calculated. Simulation results show the droplet deformati...
متن کاملElectric-Field-Induced Triplet to Singlet Transition in Size-2 Trigonal Zigzag Graphene Nanoflake
Using Hartree-Fock Su-Sheriffer-Heeger (HF-SSH) model, we have studied the dependence of the energies of the ground (magnetic triplet state) and the first exited (nonmagnetic singlet state) states of the size-2 trigonal zigzag graphene nanoflake (size-2 NF) on the intensity of an external in plane static electric field at zero temperature. We identify a transition from the magnetic triplet stat...
متن کاملThree-dimensional calculations of the magnetic fields in a finite superconducting hollow cylinder in an applied axial magnetic field
In this study, a set of self-consistent coupled-integral equations for the local magnetic flux and current distributions in a finite superconducting hollow cylinder under an axial magnetic field has been directly derived by using the Biot-Savart law within the framework of the critical-state model. The equations were first solved numerically in the three-dimensional space before obtaining the h...

متن کاملMesoscopic field and current compensator based on a hybrid superconductor-ferromagnet structure.
A rather general enhancement of superconductivity is demonstrated in a hybrid structure consisting of a submicron superconducting (SC) sample combined with an in-plane ferromagnet (FM). The superconducting state resists much higher applied magnetic fields for both perpendicular polarities, as the applied field is screened by the FM. In addition, FM induces (in the perpendicular direction to its...
